The flavor is deliberately mild to allow the pure richness of the cream to dominate — high-quality versions taste of the freshest cream with a gentle, clean lactic acidity. Serving at room temperature is essential — cold triple-crème is waxy and muted; at 65–70°F it blooms fully, the rind contributing a gentle mushroomy note. Champagne and sparkling wine are the canonical pairings because the acidity and bubbles cut through the extreme fat. With fresh strawberries, good honey, or simply on crusty bread, triple-crème is one of the most unabashedly hedonistic foods available.
